2015 07 20 – Shane performs a trick while kiteboarding off the pier at Break Water Park in Kingston, Ontario. Based on HZ Herald in New Zealand 2013, the global kiteboarding industry is worth $321 million.

2015 07 21 – A nice warm tone and the shadow of a tree is cast upon a fence off Chancery Street as the sunsets. On this day the sun was approximately 152.005 million kilometers away and provided 13:03:08 hours of sunlight.

2015 07 22 – A plant grows between two stairway blocks at the back entrance of Millar Hall, the geology building at Queen’s University. Construction workers recently finished reconstructing the lower portion of the stairs.

2015 07 23 – I am cutting slices into a potato to put margarine and onions while preparing supper. After putting the ingredients in, you simply wrap the potatoes in tinfoil and put them in the oven.

2015 07 24 – Thousands of stars backdrop a tree late at night at the Bancroft Tent & Trailer Park. It is estimated that 100 billion stars make up the Milky Way, although other estimates come in around 400 billion.

2015 07 25 – Mist rises up through the trees as rain drops hit Marble Lake late in the afternoon at the Bancroft Tent & Trailer Park. Numerous heavy rainstorms continued throughout the day.

2015 07 26 – Chris looks through numerous un-cracked geodes at the 19^th annual Bancroft Gem & Mineral Show. This is an excellent show to buy mineral and fossil specimens.

2015 07 13 - An inukshuk stands along the shoreline of Lake Ontario, as several people are seen paddle boarding in the background. The inukshuk is an Inuit structure typically marking the presence of something or indicating direction. In this case it is likely people having fun playing with rocks.

2015 07 14 – An intramural baseball player with Queen’s University pitches the ball during a game at the West Campus field. Intramurals comes from the two Latin words intra muros meaning “within walls.”

2015 07 15 – Members of the Canadian sailing team (CAN1185) take down their main sail in front of the Kingston Marina.

2015 07 16 – A guy from Peterborough repositions some drift wood on a structure he built over three days at Break Water Park in Kingston. Visiting a friend he would bike down and add new features each day.

2015 07 17 – Heavy rain comes down late at night as a car is about to go through the intersection of Bayridge Drive and Taylor Kidd Boulevard after the light changed.

2015 07 18 – Approximately 41,000 fans fill the Rogers Centre to watch the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays tied the Jays 2-2 in the 7^th inning, eventually taking the lead in the 8^th, winning the game 3-2.

2015 07 06 – A Queen’s University worker waters a garden in front of McLaughlin Hall at the corner of Stuart Street and Lower University Avenue.

2015 07 07 – A young women sits on the back stairway of the Landmark, a condominium complex with 94 suites overlooking the Confederation Basin Marina in Kingston, Ontario.

2015 07 08 – A player from the Queen’s intramural baseball team Sliding Plates, mostly made up of graduate students in geology, keeps her eyes on the ball as it approaches. We ended up falling short by four runs loosing to the Springfield Isotopes.

2015 07 09 – A young lady tests a spike that will be hidden under one of four blue cups during a Buskers performance in downtown Kingston. Using his mind Magician Rynestone will figure out what cup to leave after crushing others with his hands, hoping to find the spike under the remaining cup.

2015 07 10 – Wacky Chad from Syracuse, New York leaps from his unicycle after skipping with it during the Buskers Rendezvous in Kingston. He performs a variety of pogo acrobatics, juggling and other stunts.

2015 07 11 – Stompin’ Jon & Lorraine Marie perform during Wheels, Water & Wings in Bancroft, Ontario. Throughout the weekend there is a car show, river race, performances and flights at the airport.

2015 07 12 – Members of Kingston Lapidary and Mineral Club dig through the soil at Bear Lake Diggings near Tory Hill in search of various minerals. The most common mineral collected is apatite, a mineral that was once mined for fertilizer.

2015 06 29 – Construction workers remove one of the railings from Summer Hill, the oldest building at Queen’s University built in 1839.

2015 06 30 – Students make their way on to a Kingston transit bus during a heavy downpour. Holt, Missouri holds the record for the most rain in one hour with a total of 305 mm (12 inches).

2015 07 01 – A family has their photograph taken on Wellington Street during Canada Day celebrations in Ottawa. Canada Day was originally known as Dominion Day and was officially changed on October 27^th 1982.

2015 07 02 – Two ladies enjoy a beautiful evening while looking over the dinner menu at Atomica Gourmet Pizza & Wine Bar, a restaurant on Brock Street.

2015 07 03 – This is the dough of a white chocolate pistachio cake that I was making for a family dinner the next day.

2015 07 04 – Various relatives have fun in front of the camera during a weekend barbeque at our house.

2015 07 05 – Various people admire minerals, fossils and polished rocks while attending the Gem Shower at the Crystal Palace in Picton. This one-day show has run for the past three years under the Prince Edward County Club, now it is under the Kingston Club after Prince Edward County Club was amalgamated.
